TELT: Tunnelling the future of Rail in Europe thanks to BIM and Autodesk solutions

BIM playing an important role for the infrastructure & rail project of the century

Public promoter TELT and Consortium CO 6-7 (including VINCI Construction Grands Projets and Webuild) are at the forefront of the new Lyon-Turin railway line project for the Saint Martin-La-Porte to Modane section, part of the significant European network initiative TEN-T.

The project involves building a 270-kilometer railway line between Lyon, France, and Turin, Italy, designed to reduce truck traffic and environmental impact in the Alpine region. The project has to tackle a wide range of geological challenges that demand advanced construction techniques. Building Information Modeling (BIM) and cloud-based collaboration play a crucial role in the tunnel’s development. By integrating various data sources, BIM and cloud collaboration help anticipate construction issues, improving coordination and decision-making.

Discover in this video how the Lyon-Turin Tunnel is opening a new avenue for transport in Europe through the various project management and project development key stakeholders involved, such as:

  • TELT (Euralpin Lyon-Turin Tunnel)
  • CO 6-7 Group, including:
    • VINCI Construction Grands Projets
    • Dodin Campenon Bernard
    • Campenon Bernard Centre Est
    • Webuild
